ERS Group Managing Director Mary Dunn Baker, Ph.D. will be participating in the panel discussion "Hot Topics in Wage and Hour Law: 'Off the Clock' Claims, Meal and Rest Breaks, and Tipping" at the American Conference Institute's (ACI's) 15th Annual Wage and Hour Claims and Class Actions Conference held on Thursday May 31 and Friday June 1, 2012 at the New York Marriott Downtown, New York City.
Joining Dr. Baker on the panel will be Paul DeCamp of Jackson Lewis (formerly Administrator of the Department of Labor's Wage and Hour Division), Stephen B. Harris, Vice President and Corporate Chief Compliance Office of The Hartford Financial Services Group, Jeffrey S. Brockmann, Senior Corporate Counsel of U.S. Bank, and John J. Myers of Eckert, Seamans, Cherin & Mellott.
Topics to be discussed by the panel include: measuring hours worked, use and misuse of electronic data (including GPS data, card swipe data, login/logout data), the use of experts in wage and hour cases, and the impact of recent decisions on the future of wage and hour cases.
