ERS Group Privacy Statement

Your privacy is very important to ERS Group.  We have created this Privacy Policy to demonstrate our firm’s commitment to privacy and security.  We will safeguard, according to strict standards of security and confidentiality, any information our visitors share with us.  We will permit only authorized employees, who are trained in proper handling of client information, to have access to that information. 

In order to register for ERS Group hosted or sponsored seminars the user must complete an online registration form.  The user provides registrant’s name, employer’s name and contact information to include mailing address, email address and phone numbers.  The user also provides financial information such as credit card number and expiration date.  This information is for billing purposes and to contact the registrant if there any problems associated with seminar registration.

We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the web site, track pages accessed within our site and gather aggregate use.  IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.

We may share aggregated demographic information with our partners and advertisers. This is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person.

We may use an outside shipping company to ship orders, and/or an outside vendor for credit card processing and/or an outside vendor to bill users for goods and services. These companies do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes.

We may partner with another party to provide specific services. When the user signs up for these services, we will share names, or other contact information that is necessary for the third party to provide these services. We provide reports to a limited number of companies with which we do business. These reports include aggregate information about our users. The information in these reports will not identify you individually, unless necessary to award a prize for example. The outside companies who receive these reports will not be able to contact you from the information contained in the reports, unless it is necessary to award a prize via mail from that company for example. We will not provide individual information to these companies without your permission, unless required for purposes such as those outlined.

These outside parties are not allowed to use personally identifiable information except for the purpose of providing these services.

This website takes every precaution to protect our users' information. When users submit sensitive information via the website, that information is protected both online and off-line.

Online, our security access controls allow only those people who are authorized and have a need to know have access to any relevant databases, and security controls are in place to prevent employees from accessing databases without proper authentication. The company security policy is addressed and discussed regularly with the applicable employees.

If and when our registration form asks users to enter sensitive information (such as credit card number and/or social security number), that information is encrypted and is protected with encryption software. While on a secure page, such as our order form, the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to un-locked, or open, when you are just 'surfing'.

If and when we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user-information off-line. All of our users' information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, our seminar registrar or our accounting office representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information.  Finally, the servers that we store personally identifiable information on are kept in a secure environment.
