Dr. Bierhanzl is a Principal in ERS Group’s Washington, D.C. office. He joined the firm in 2005 as a Research Economist. His experience with ERS Group encompasses several important labor and employment areas including large wage and hour class actions, discrimination litigation, compensation and employment selection monitoring, and analysis related to OFCCP and EEOC investigations. He has been responsible for building and analyzing complex employment databases as well as coordinating the work of economists, programmers, and other research staff. In addition, Dr. Bierhanzl has prepared analyses for firms involved in labor contract negotiations, and for cases involving taxation, government expenditures, and corporate damages.
Prior to working for ERS Group, he was a tenured Associate Professor of Economics at Florida A & M University where he taught for eleven years. Dr. Bierhanzl has published in journals such as the Journal of Labor Research, the Journal of Private Enterprise, and the Journal of Public Finance and Public Choice, and he has presented his research at conferences of the Southern Economic Association, the Association of Private Enterprise Education, and internationally. His areas of interest include labor market policy, regulatory policy and institutions, and local public finance/public choice. He received his doctorate from Florida State University. |
